The challenge was to craft a distinct and cohesive brand identity for ION TV—one that embodied energy and connectivity while standing out in a crowded media landscape. To achieve this, I focused on light and motion as core visual elements, reinforcing the network’s dynamic essence. Collaborating with 2C2.0 under the creative direction of Steve Peterson, I strategically utilized ION’s purple and orange logo to distinguish its Drama and Crime content.
The final branding package included logo stingers, bumpers, talent IDs, and lower thirds, ensuring a bold and engaging on-air presence.
Direction 1: This branding concept is meticulously crafted to underscore the premium quality of ION's drama and sport content while infusing a dramatic
and cinematic essence through the strategic use of light and energy. Circular and round shapes, inspired by the logo, become central elements, offering versatile compositions that universally symbolize dynamism. All seen from new, dynamic perspectives.

Direction 2: At the heart of this concept is a logo that stands as the anchor of our visual identity, seamlessly transitioning from dramatic purple
to a vibrant, bright orange—the signature color of the network. This gradient spectrum caters to diverse genres, providing a modern
aesthetic. The nuanced shades not only craft a versatile and dynamic backdrop but also serve as a canvas to elevate content presentation.

Direction 3: In this concept, we draw design inspiration from the 'i' in the ion logo, a network of
2D lines cascades, evoking the abstract essence of light rays. These lines serve a dual purpose
as video containers, elegantly intersecting with shows and infusing them with a unique aesthetic.

Direction 4: an editorial-inspired design that exudes simplicity and sophistication.
The ion logo takes center stage against a backdrop of either a pristine white or a vibrant orange,
subtly framed by an embossed circle that addsa touch of depth and dimension.
